Application Description
MyID Mobile Identity Agent is an iPhone and iPad application that manages the provisioning of certificates to the public keystore of your phone or tablet. These certificates can then be used for such purposes as S/MIME signed and encrypted email, VPN authentication and 2-way SSL secure web browsing.
This application requires an Intercede MyID identity and credential management server (IDCMS) to operate. It is NOT a standalone application and has no useful purpose without the server. The IDCMS provides policy-driven issuance and lifecycle management of x509 certificates to smart cards, security tokens, phones and tablet computers.
Future versions will provide support for storing keys and certificates in a private keychain for use exclusively by the MyID Mobile Application Suite of apps and, where the operating system permits, storing keys in internal or external hardware secure elements. An SDK is also available for application developers to build in support for secure key management and consumption. Please contact Intercede for further information.
