Application Description
MobileMiner is the first ever iOS litecoin mining client!
Use MobileMiner now to mine for litecoins on your iPhone or iPad!
Simply enter the user credentials for your preferred litecoin mining pool and hit go! (Work units will be accounted depending on your pool's policy.)

Q: What hashrates to expect?
A: This is the first version of MobileMiner, thus the main focus was to get it working on iOS in the first place. Expect about 0.8 khash/s on an iPad2 an about 1.6 khash/s on an iPhone 5. (This will probably increase with further, more optimized updates.)
Q: Will this drain my battery?
A: Every calculation-intensive task is hard work for the CPU and thus increases power consumption. So yes. But you got a plug, don't you?
Q: Will MobileMiner run in the background?
A: No. We decided against it, to prevent unwanted power drain. (If you think that is a mistake, tell us in the AppStore comment.)
Q: Why is there no quit button?
A: Because there is no scenario in which stopping the computation in the app as compared to closing the app right away makes any sense. Simply hit the home button, the MobileMiner quits.
Q: Where to enter the port number?
A: Add the port in the domain field. Example: http://somepool.tld:9332/
Q: I do need an already existing pool account for this, right?
A: Yup. However we have provided a default account in the app for the case you simply want to try it out. If you however want the work to get credited to your account, you have to enter it. (Surprise, surprise.)
Q: Can this app also be used to mine other Scrypt-based coins such as FeatherCoin, BBQCoin or CHNCoin?
A: Yes, of course!
Q: Do you really think people will use this to mine on their iPhone or iPad? It's not really economical, is it?
A: But it's way cool!
