MyArtic will help administer therapy for students with articulation and phonological disorders. Grounded in research supported by the National Library of Medicine Foundation, MyArtic and developed by a team of linguists, speech research scientists and speech language pathologists.

MyArtic is designed to work with several students with different word sets in a single session and can be used stand alone or incorporated into round-robin games. At the beginning of the session the participants are confirmed so absent students can be omitted.

A session can be set up ahead of time by selecting from the database of students. MyArtic maintains a database that contains information about each student in the service including name, age, and problematic phonemes. The information from
MyArtic has two major functionalities: Screening and Therapy Delivery.

Client therapy delivery allows an SLP or a parent to manage therapy for several clients or students in there modes of operation: Guided therapy allows the session leader to a make subjective rating of the pronunciation of the word and to mark the error and type of error in the phonemes. Self-guided therapy allows a student to practice a word and MyArtic will objectively score the pronunciation. Sentence mode allows the user to record longer phrases and sentences and rate his or her own pronunciation when the play them back For each word or phrase, MyArtic displays an illustration or picture to help the student and record and play back functionality is available in every mode. The markup information is stored in the database for the student.

Screening allows an SLP to provide an articulation and language screening to determine if a complete screening is warranted. The screening is in two parts: Articulation and Identification and repetition. For articulation the student is asked to identify picture and fir repetition, they are asked to repeat a sentence. The examiner marks each response for correctness and indicates mistakes if appropriate.
