The purpose of this Application is to provide time sensitive information and news about NITAAC technology contracts to users in a 24/7 mobile setting. NITAAC (National Institute of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center) has been responsible for managing information technology procurement contracts to federal civilian and military agencies for over a decade.

NITAAC as an authorized agent to administer government-wide acquisition contracts and in that capacity interacts with hundreds of organizations and thousands of individuals every year.

This Application brings updates and information on large and complex contracts being administered by the agency directly to government workers, private sector contractors, the media and taxpayers.

By improving the speed of information being communicated this Application will enable more timely decision making and improve the cost effectiveness of government technology procurement.

By administering billions of dollars worth of technology related contracts NITAAC has a critical role to play at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in supporting its mission to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behaviour of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce the burdens of illness and disability.
