**** BLEEP TEST ****
The 15m Bleep Test now forms part of the police fitness test for all regulars and specials. You are required to pass it in order to proceed to the next part of the application process.
Beep tests are split into a number of different levels, with a number of beeps at each level. The requirement for police officer candidates in England and Wales is to reach level 5.4 (i.e. level 5, four beeps). The total running time for this is about 3 minutes and 40 seconds. In Scotland the level is set at between 9.2 and 6.10, dependent on you age.
The bleep test featured in this app has been taken directly from NPIA and is the audio track you will hear on the day.
**** PUSH/PULL STRENGTH TEST ****
The Push/Pull Test is used to measure your strength. You will sit in a chair with your back against a back rest and your feet widely spread on the ground. You begin with 3 test pushes to warm them up and then you must give 5 maximum effort pushes which will give a reading of strength which is displayed for the candidate. Once completed you will perform 3 warm up pull's and then 5 maximal effort pull's.
