Radiation JP
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
Do you want to know what's really going on around the Fukushima Power Plant in Japan and are you confused about Mikrosieverts, Gray and all the other units radiation is measured in? Then "Radiation JP" is the right tool for you.
This App shows the Background radiation measured by some 200 stations around Japan. The data is collected via a private network of volunteers and finally distributed via the BLOG of Marian Steinbach. Other sources of radiation measurement levels used for this app are rdtn.org and Pachube.
How to interpret the data
Radiation is measured in various different units. The most common ones are Bequerel, Gray and Sievert.
For your convenience this App displays the dose rate in Microsieverts per hour (µSv/h).
When this App is used outside Japan the current location is fixed to the Fukhushima I Nuklear Power Plant, Block 3. Therefore all km readings are in relation to the Nuklear Power Plant.
