Application Description
ReThink DoD from Empower Interactive is a companion mobile app to Empower’s Good Days Ahead (GDA) web program for military retirees, service members and their families at http://dod.gooddaysahead.com.
Interested individuals can get an account from a military clinician at participating military facilities. For a referral, please contact Empower at dodapp@empower-interactive.com.
GDA and ReThink DoD teach evidence-based techniques for managing stress, anxiety and depression. ReThink DoD provides a convenient interface for capturing your thoughts as they happen. Launch the app, record your positive or negative thought, and snap a picture to illustrate the situation. Later, in the GDA web program, you can use the tools you’ve learned to restructure or “rethink” negative or unhelpful thoughts. As you record more thoughts, ReThink DoD will also provide a visual diary of the good and not-so-good moments in your life that you may want to remember or work on for the future.
