Application Description
Reward Volunteers is the first iPhone app that tracks and rewards volunteers and the organizations they serve.
Reward Volunteers allows users to log time at any organization they volunteer for, sharing and inspiring others to join their cause. Users can take photos, post an editable message to Facebook, and email friends. The more hours logged, shared and FB “likes” received, the more Reach points, or chances to win, are accrued. Volunteers get Reach points both for themselves and the organizations they serve, and have chances win great prizes such as cash/donations and vacations.

Any volunteer organization with a Facebook page can be found using the app.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Reward Volunteers shows your total volunteer hours, hours volunteered at each organization, and total Reach points -- helping you see the cumulative results of your efforts.
SHARE AND INCREASE YOUR REACH
Reward Volunteers posts an automated (or self-written) message about your activity to your Facebook timeline, encouraging your friends to join you and raising awareness for your cause. You can also email your friends and share photos of your activity.
LIVE INTERACTIVE ACTIVITY STREAM
WIthin the app volunteers see a live feed of activity by all participants, and a separate listing of their own activity history. Volunteers can comment on and "like" each other's activity from within the app as well as in Facebook, making volunteering more fun and rewarding.
WEB WIDGET
Anyone can participate with the program online using the Reward Volunteers web widget, available at www.RewardVolunteers.coop. The widget can can also be embedded on any organizational, business, or personal website to promote community service.
