Application Description
This app is my solution to the sixth and final Stanford cs193p homework assignment from the Fall 2011 class.
In both the iPhone and iPad, a user can choose one of fifty possible vacation spots to virtually visit. When a location is selected, a random set of photos from that location is retrieved from the Flickr photo service and presented to the user. The user can then choose to view any of these photos, and will be able to pan, as well as zoom in and out.
Once a user has viewed a photo, it is cached, and can be quickly viewed again by selecting the "Recents" tab.
This app is map-enabled! At any time, the user can push the map button in the navigation bar to view both vacation spots on a map, as well as geo-tagged photos of a specific vacation spot.
When in iPad mode, the user will have an additional option available in the third tab, labeled "Vacations". Photos can be added to a user-populated database when the user views a photo and presses the "visit" button. The user can then build up a list of favorite photos to visit again later by perusing the set of "Vacation 1" photos. Enjoy!
