Most people think the worldwide emergency services number is 112, and they'd be right. But what many people don't know is that this is still not common globally and some countries have many numbers for different services. Spanish Police for instance is 091 and if you needed an ambulance you'd need to dial 061. In an emergency, you don't have time to find this out. This is where SafeWorld comes to the rescue.

With each country's unique emergency services numbers built in, SafeWorld uses the phone's GPS location to identify it's location and displays one button for each emergency service. With one tap, the phone dials the number, thus removing any further panic from what is potentially an already fraught situation.

As well as the emergency service number database, SafeWorld hosts a wealth of cultural information to provide the traveller with vital tips and advice unique to the country they are in.

Disclaimer: Due to in-country emergency services numbers changing, Safeworld should not be your sole means of contact in case of emergency.
