SHOOTING WORMS is a fast action shoot'em up, where you just shoot'em up.

You will run out of lives. What you do only changes when. There are some things which can help...
Firstly, your ship has the ability to generate a force field, which will protect you from the worms, but use it sparingly. It has a limited supply of energy.
You can also collect "colour bombs". These fall from the worms when they are completely destroyed. Once collected, they will appear in your game status bar. Double tap to activate, where all worm segments of that colour will explode. A useful trick if you're stuck in a corner.

CONTROLS

Double tap the screen anywhere above the game status bar to toggle the ship's force field on or off.
Double tap a colour bomb in the game status bar to activate, which will destroy all worm segments of that colour.
Touch the screen to fire missiles, and drag that finger to move your ship.

Achieve the highest score possible, and plonk your name at the top of the high score table.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
=================
You are awarded points for shooting worm segments. Each segment should be hit several times, which will cause it to stop at a grid junction, shrink, and finally explode. If not destroyed completely, a segment will spin up, getting faster and faster, and then shoot down the grid in your direction. You should avoid getting in the way of these, unless shields are up.

Colour bombing or destroying segments with the shields up does not score any points, unless the worm segments have previously already been hit with a missile. You can achieve more points for colour bombing than just missile shots alone.

You start the game with just 4 lives. An extra life or two can be awarded during the levels, of which there are 20.
