Application Description
The SMARTreview™ Fire Safety app provides access to knowledge contained in the ICC ® 2009 Quick-Reference Guide to Fire Safety. The app has the following capabilities:
Fire Safety Requirements: the ability to browse information contained in the ICC ® 2009 Quick-Reference Guide to Fire Safety. Selecting an occupancy group, construction type, and sprinklered (yes or no) allows the user to narrow the focus of the requirements. Selecting an individual requirement or group of requirements will show context specific notes related to the selection. Requirements can also be emailed to capture information for use in your project.
Building Size Calculator: this calculator allows the user to quickly calculate the:
-- allowable area per story,
-- allowable building height,
-- allowable number of stories
for a selected single occupancy and construction type. Changing the construction type, sprinkler information, and/or frontage information causes the calculated information to change. The calculated information (as well as the criteria causing the calculation) can be emailed in order to capture information for use in your project.
Mixed Area Ratio Calculator: this calculator allows the user to quickly calculate the mixed area ratio for a building that has separated occupancies. The user enters in the type of construction for the building and separated occupancies for each story in the building. The mixed area ratios per story, and overall mixed area ratio are calculated dynamically as information is input.
All occupancy groups are available at the time of purchase.
