Application Description
SportDiary helps you to develop your personal training process and make it more exiting! Using the built-in accelerometer, iPhone counts repetitions of pull-ups, sit-ups, dips, push-ups, squats and other variations of these exercises. SportDiary builds statistics of each exercise in your workout plan, so you can make conclusions about your progress. You can follow your friends and compete with them, who made more sit-ups or pull-ups today. This is an excellent way to grow up!
SportDiary features:
- Automatic Workout Counter: App counts repetitions of exercises automatically. Just hold iPhone in your hands and it will count sit-ups and squats. To count pull-ups, push-ups and dips just put iPhone into the pocket. Also it can count different variations of these exercises, like pull-ups with close grip, dips with weights, etc. Please note, that for better accuracy of count try to keep iPhone in one orientation (for example Portrait), don't shake or rotate it. Other important thing is to make full repetitions of each exercise, all way up and all way down. For example, if you don't make full amplitude of dips, the repetition won't be counted. The countdown 5 seconds timer is made to tune accelerometer for better accuracy. When you hear start sound you should be in initial position. Please start exercise only after this sound. iPhone will finish count when you push stop button or after 5 seconds you haven't done any repetition. When you finished your set and you can't push stop button, please don't move five seconds till stop sound. For example, if you jump from bar after set of pull-ups it may be counted as superfluous repetition.
- Motivation To Do Perfect Repetitions: Try to use perfect form for each repetition of exercise, all way up and all way down. Automatic counter works only for proper reps.
- Add Sets Manually: You can add or change the number of repetitions when you want.
- Add Exercises (only in full version): You can add any exercise you want. Note that automatic counter doesn't work perfectly for all exercises. It counts only up and down repetition, but not number of steps or jumps. But you can add each value manually anyway. Also you can delete an exercise you don't want to practice.
- Graph Statistics: You can follow statistics of any exercise you train. SportDiary builds graph that shows you how much repetitions of exercise you did each day. So you can make the conclusions about your growth and make some correctives in your workout process.
- Follow Your Friends: This is more exciting and funny when you can share your progress with friends and see their progress. Competition always inspires to grow.
- Top: Each day you can see the top users who made more repetitions of standard exercises (sit-ups, pull-ups, push-ups, dips and squats). Note, that you can get to top only from full version.
- News: Get news from your friends or from all users.
- No Need To Register Your Account: You don't need to enter your e-mail, password. SportDiary automatically gives you personal login and password, and you can use it to log in www.sportdiary.net
- No Need To Log In/Out: You don't need to remember your login and password. iPhone automatically connects to www.sportdiary.net when Internet is available.
- Synchronization: All your data automatically synchronize with website. So you can also follow your statistics, friends and news on www.sportdiary.net
