spotaboo is a free app that lets you create and join groups to share location information using predefined alerts or custom ones you create yourself.

Alerts can be for the here & now or for a future date, time and location.

You can join groups for fans of a celebrity or product a place or any other thing. Once joined you are then alerted to things happening relevant to that group and you get precise directions from where you are to the alert location.

Where are your children? Your kids are growing up, and they want to be out and about with their friends. It's hard to let them go – will they be safe? Did they get there ok? Are they where they said they’d be?

Let spotaboo ease your mind. Kids can quickly check in (in a cool way) to let you know they have arrived safely. They can even silently alert you if they need assistance or feel threatened in any way.

But spotaboo isn't about spying, nobody can 'track' you and you cannot 'track' anybody else. Users choose to post location updates to a group and only then others members of the group are alerted to a new location update. And if someone in the group is really getting on your last nerve, well, you can hide their alerts.

And spotaboo isn’t just for getting directions to things. Starting in version 2.0 you can now let any other member know you are thinking about them just by sending them a 'Love'. It's a great quick way to send your feelings without having to text a single letter.
