Application Description
Squares makes watching sports more exciting! The Square’s game originated as an ‘office pool’ for the Superbowl or for big sporting games. People would buy any one of 100 Squares for the game, and they would win money if their Square intersected with the last digit in the score, at the end of each quarter. Today, Square’s is played with almost all sports games, and makes watching games more exciting!
Create a Square’s game for FREE:
- Tap ‘Create a Game’
- Name your game and add your teams
- Invite your friends with a text message
- Once your Square’s are all selected, you will receive a push message
- Tap the settings and tap generate numbers. The game will randomly choose the numbers (0-9) that correlate with each row and column. THESE NUMBERS ARE RANDOMLY GENERATED, AND CAN’T BE CHANGED.
- Once you generate numbers, all players will receive a push message to alert them that the game has been set
Join a Square’s game for FREE:
- Tap ‘Join a Game’ and select the game you’d like to join. Or, ask the owner for the Game ID and enter it
- Enter the password to join the game
- Once joined, tap the Square(s) that you would like to select
- You will receive an alert when your game has started
How to play:
When playing "Squares", only the digit furthest to the right matters for scoring purposes. Example: Say you created a Square’s game for football, and you have Miami Dolphins on the top and New England Patriots on the left side. Let's say the football score is Dolphins 33 and Patriots 30. You would look at the top where you have the Dolphins, then go to the number 3, since the last digit in their score is 3. Then you would go to the left side and look for the zero, which is the last number in the Patriots score. Find where these two numbers/coordinates meet, and the person who selected the box will win!
The Square’s owner makes the rules, and should note special rules in the game’s chat section. The owner may have winners for each quarter, or may just have a winner at the end of the game. The chat section is an open forum for all players to communicate.
