Sunshine Stories is a book store designed to help your child learn to read. The books use a simple and progressive system based around phonics, a proven method that is taught in many schools.

Currently there are two series available, both with a free book for you and your child to enjoy. The rest of the books are available to purchase individually or at a lower cost with a series pass.

Each series contains single vowel phonic words and high usage non-phonic linking words. Additional resources include an interactive drag and drop worksheet, word lists, printable colouring pages and notes for parents.

Each book in the series is hand painted and scanned at high resolution to provide rich and deep colours to involve you and your child in each story. Series One follows Nat and His Pals.

Gil Lumby, the author and illustrator of this series is a nursery and infant school teacher with 17 years experience. She has an MA and MPhil in Early Years Language and Philosophy. The author believes that the ability to read well and to understand the text is key to learning in all other academic and non-academic subjects and areas.
