The Musicians of Bremen
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
The Musicians of Bremen – On the Road Again!
With art by Bernhard Oberdieck. Adaptation and music by Mark Holme.
Come on an app adventure with this classic folk story, beloved by children the world over. This app breathes new life into the old folk tale, with finger-tip fun your child can enjoy time and again.
Detailed, hand painted, images with interactive features – touch the screen to see the animals respond. For those that want to just kick back and relax, there's a video of the story too! Go to the illustrations page and you'll find it.
Specially composed, touch & play, music sets the scene. Touch & play narration tells the story. There's record-me reading, with auto-playback, so readers can record short, and long sections.
(Please allow a recording cycle to complete before starting another. The record buttons pulsate for the duration of the recording. When auto playback starts, it's OK to continue).
On the music activity pages, children can touch & play the original theme music, and other classic children's songs. Alternatively, they can have the melody played for them whilst they sing along, lyrics included.
Navigation is made easy with iRead, Read to Me and an Illustrations page where links to the Video and Info pages, with contact links, including the app's support page are found.
Each page has a miniature donkey icon that takes you back Home. Combined with each page's next and back buttons, with swipe facility if preferred, the reader can be confident in getting around the story.
So, what are you waiting for? Join your new friends on the road to Bremen. 'But they never arrive in Bremen,' you may say. Remember, it's not arriving that counts, it's the fun you have along the way!
