The Octagon Theory TableTop
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
"Easy to pick up, impossible to put down, exciting to play, and a challenge to master."
The Octagon Theory TableTop is a completely original two-player turn-based strategy game that is played on an octagon-shaped board. It's completely different from Othello (Reversi), Checkers, and Chess, but TOT shares many of the traits that make these board games so much fun.
Although TOT boasts intense strategy, players need not bother with manuals or tutorials to play. The idea is simple. Push opponents off the board using the directional pieces. Just follow your intuition, watch what the computer (in TOT mobile for iOS devices) and other players (in the TOT online experience) do and enjoy playing this exciting new game.
Game Features:
- iPad App.
- Human opponents play sitting opposite each other.
- Two Game Types: Basic & Pro.
- Choose opponent type: AI (*1), or another human (Hot-seat play).
- Four AI opponents with more to come.
- Timed or non-timed games.
- Choose which player moves first.
- Three board sizes: 20 turns, 30 turns, or 70 turns.
- How To Play Instructions in English & 日本語 (Japanese).
NOTE: "The Octagon Theory TableTop" is designed for the iPad only! The user interface is designed for easy play when the iPad is placed on a table and two human players sit across from each other (or on the same side of the table - tapping the Turns left or Time left labels will rotate the labels for best view).
If you mainly play alone it is recommended that you get "The Octagon Theory "(universal app) as its user interface is designed for one-person play or for pass-and-play if you play against another human player.
*1 An API is available which coders, board game geeks, and Artificial Intelligence aficionados can use to design TOT AI's which can compete against human players.
