Caitlin Cary has played the violin and written songs since she was little, but fell into music as a life when she joined the seminal alt-country band Whiskeytown as it was forming in Raleigh. Matt Douglas, an NYU jazz trained woodwinds player, started writing pop songs while in Hungary as a Fulbright Scholar, and since founded the Raleigh based indie-pop band The Proclivities. And now Caitlin Cary & Matt Douglas are...The Small Ponds. Hold on to your guppies.
