Application Description
The Wallace Collection is a national museum in an historic London town house. In 25 galleries are unsurpassed displays of French 18th century painting, furniture and porcelain with superb Old Master paintings and a world class armoury.
The museum displays the wonderful works of art collected by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess. It was bequeathed to the British nation by Sir Richard's widow, Lady Wallace, in 1897. Now it is available to all the public with free admission 7 days a week.
The App uses image recognition technology to enable the visitors to further experience some of the most prestigious pieces from the collection, activating a range of audio commentaries, textual information about the items and selected for a more detailed view.
You will need a smartphone or iPod touch with a camera in order to use this app.
