TimeWise
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
Being busy is not the same as being productive.
TimeWise takes a different approach to tracking productivity. It is ultra-simple by design. There are many features it doesn't have. It won't be for everyone.
The idea behind TimeWise is that, to improve your productivity, you need to be consciously aware of how productively you use your time. That requires honest self-assessment.
TimeWise doesn't let you record tasks. It doesn't let you name activities, or describe or categorize them. That lets people fool themselves into believing that keeping busy is the same as being productive.
Instead, TimeWise requires you to answer one simple question about how you've used your time:
"Was I productive?"
You don't need a list of tasks or activities to answer this question. You know the answer in your gut. Be honest with yourself and you will know whether you've made meaningful progress.
When you have your answer, select green for productive, and red for unproductive. Simple, basic feedback. No hiding behind busyness.
Use your time productively and a sea of green will provide positive reinforcement. Be unproductive, and you'll be confronted by a wall of red, and the knowledge that you need to improve.
And don't try to track your productivity every minute of every day. Not every timeslot needs to have an entry. When you're having downtime, put the app away. The idea is to track your progress in the hours when you are committed to be productive.
TimeWise has the following features:
- Ultra-simple interface: green for productive, red for unproductive
- Each day is broken up into 15 minute timeslots
- Clear an entry by tapping the red or green bar
- Jump to Today by tapping the date in the top bar
- Automatically saves the data entered (over the last 30 days)
- Shows basic statistics for your performance on each day
- Shows basic statistics for your performance over the last 7, 14 or 30 days
