triple j Unearthed mobile introduces you to a huge range of free new music from Australian artists. triplejunearthed.com is a triple j initiative that showcases unsigned Australian talent.
This app delivers 53,000 tracks of new Australian music in a range of genres, with hundreds of new tracks added weekly. You can listen to the tracks, download them, add them to playlists and share them.
Too much to choose from? We’ve hand-selected some stand outs; try Featured Music, triple j Presenter Playlists and our weekly Unearthed podcast. You can also stream ‘Unearthed Radio’ a continuous feed of the best tracks from triple j Unearthed. It just got easier to find your new favourite band.

SHAKE
- Shake your device or tap the shake paper corner to receive a new random selection of Unearthed Artists
- Swipe sideways to browse different tracks in the same music genre
- Swipe up and down to browse tracks from different music genres
SEARCH
- Tap on the green label on the search field to refine your search by Artist, Track, Genre, Location or Sounds Like
PLAYLISTS
- Listen to weekly Featured playlist, selected by triple j Unearthed
- Tap the shuffle icon to launch the player with mixed tracks in a random order
- Swipe from right to left to browse between different playlists: Featured, Favourites, triple j and Recently Played
- Swipe from right to left to create and manage your personal Unearthed playlists (up to 5)
PLAYER
- Tap the ‘heart’ icon to add tracks to your Favourites playlist
- Tap the green envelope icon to download songs to listen when you are offline
- Tap the Bluetooth icon in the volume bar to pair the Unearthed player with your audio Bluetooth devices
- Tap the “i” icon for more information on the band or artist you are listening to
- Share songs and playlists via Twitter, Facebook and email
Notes:
- Downloaded songs are only available within the Unearthed app (playlists) and cannot be synchronised with iTunes. To download Unearthed songs to your computer and synchronise it with your iTunes library visit www.triplejunearthed.com
