Uhgwee Bearcub is a bright and courageous little bear that reminds us a good bit of a vivacious six or seven year old boy. He is often off exploring his world and speaking to all the animals and plants he encounters. His intellectual curiously and his kindness and good cheer are well known in the Wood on The Other Side of the World where he lives.

In this adventure, our Bearcub sets off to explore a forest-fire devastated hill near his home and ends up meeting a human being: Mr. Saltimbanqui, proprietor and chief jailer of the Konkiland Zoo.

In the ensuing episode Uhgwee Bearcub meets many new animal friends and while he’s doing this, learns some life lessons about truth and falsehood, greed and the importance of being kind to others, especially to defenseless animals.
