VeloTexas App is a research tool designed to assist in making roads safer mainly for bicyclists.

How we do it? Users (bicyclists) using the app allow us to identify bicycling routes. This data along with existing road safety data allows us to work with local cities and road safety partners identifying improvements and strategies that intend to make streets safer to bicyclists.

VeloTexas App is a collaborative effort mostly of Austin-based volunteers passionate about road safety, bicycling, and engineering. As we work with communities in making streets safer for users, the VeloTexas App is intended to evolve into a research tool used to planning, designing and operating safer roadways.

Data provided to VeloTexas App or collected through the VeloTexas App is voluntary and anonymous and it is to be used for purposes of improving road safety. Future modifications to the app will be communicated to users.
