Detailed App Info:
Application Description
Words in Air connects you instantly with poetry and place, in that very place - and from anywhere you happen to be.
Look at poetry in an entirely new way, with Words in Air. This unique app is a self-contained poetry anthology by contemporary and classic poets, with over 50 poems linked to locations scattered across the United Kingdom. Discover the places which inspired famous poems -- ones you might already know and love, as well as places which have sparked inspiring work by a rich selection of newly, and well-established, award-winning published poets.
Tap on 'Nearest Poem' to enjoy a poem closest to your current location. Then tap into the background notes to help you understand its context. Discover even more about the poet, poem and/or place through the web link provided for each poem.
Experience how a familiar place can suddenly seem new to you, and how a new place can suddenly feel familiar, through realising that it inspired a poet!
