Diners & Drive-Ins TV - The Unofficial Guide to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
7/5/2013 - Added Season 17 Episode 09 of DDD (aired 7/1/2013). Added to the app: The Duce (Phoenix, AZ), Haggo's Organic Taco (Leucadia, CA), and Geechee Girl Rice Cafe (Mt. Airy, PA)
The Unofficial Guide to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has been the top 10 apps in the Food & Drink category almost every day for the last 6 months and was #1 for two weeks running.
We've collected all the locations for you, geo-located them, and organized them by season and state. Every venue from the show is in the app, including the closed locations or those that have changed hands and names. The only location missing is a food truck in Hawaii, because we need to figure out how to geo-locate it.
356 of them have links to the Food Network's YouTube video of that diner's portion of the episode. All recipes that the Food Network has on their website are also listed individually and linked to from the diner listings.
Some of the restaurants have closed over the years. We've left them in the directory, but added the word *Closed* to the name of each so you don't waste your time trying to go there.
Major features:
► 619 Locations (as of 7/5/2013) and updated every week after the new episode airs, which is more than every other app – including the Food Network's own Food on the Road app (because we own them all and we check each week). Also we regularly update closed or new addresses as we're informed by users.
► All locations are sortable by distance, alphabet, season, and state:
► 353 Episode video links – See the episode before you visit
► Links to 391 recipes (so far) featured on the show (which you can also use as Guy's eating list)
► A Near Me map that shows the closest 25 locations to you.
► Recipes are sortable by season or by type of dish (main, side, breakfast, etc).
► Post your visits to your Facebook or Twitter account.
► Leave comments about why you love each location for others to see.
► Update button if you find a mistake or a closed location
Diner pages include as many of the following as we could find – Episode video, recipes, website, Facebook, Twitter, and Yelp links.
We update each new episode the week it airs. We do a push message every week letting users know when the update is done.
