Application Description
LumberMate - one of the many excellent calculators from DepthMine Software - is an easy-to-use calculator for weekend/DIY enthusiasts or experienced professionals.
You enter the number and lengths of wood you need for your project. LumberMate supports eight different lengths at once e.g. 5 cuts of 2' 3", 8 cuts of 300mm ….. [and six other combinations if necessary].
You then enter the lumber available at the store. E.g. they might have 5 planks of one length, and 20 planks of another.
Enter this information into LumberMate and press Calculate. LumberMate will optimize the lengths you need to the lumber available.
It displays how many pieces of lumber you need of each length AS WELL AS the individual cuts you should make from each in order to minimize waste!
It is that easy! Don't get caught out again buying too few or too much lumber again, and don't cut expensive wood until you know how to minimize waste.
