Application Description
PianoMeter allows you to practice music note recognition with either a MIDI keyboard attached through an Apple Camera Kit and a powered USB hub or the on-screen keyboard.
No prior music experience is needed. If you have a desire to learn the notes of the music staff and practice playing them in time with a metronome, this app will definitely help you learn!
Random notes scroll across the screen along with an audible metronome. The idea is to force you to recognize notes instead of simply memorizing a melody. As you play, PianoMeter monitors your rhythm and accuracy and provides real-time feedback.
Reports are generated after each lesson to show you how well you played. These reports can be saved on the iPad to visualize progress over time and can also be emailed to anyone to show how well you're doing.
Lesson parameters can be tuned to speed up or slow down tempo, show or hide cheat sheets and keyboard hints, and enable simple chords.
Lesson report tracking and email features are disabled until you decide to upgrade. Use the in-app purchase option to unlock these features and to get rid of ads that appear after each lesson.
