WidePhotoViewer
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
WidePhotoViewer is the most complete photo viewer in the App Store.
Amazingly, it can show photos from Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, LifePics, Dropbox, and the Photo Library (used by Photos app). You can even FTP photos directly from your Mac or PC, bypassing all the limitations of the Photo Library.
This paid app includes the premium features that used to be an in-app upgrade; the free version is no longer available. If you have the free version installed, this version and its premium features will be a free update.
You can view panoramic photos that are much wider than the screen, something the Photos app and most others don't do well, if at all.
Some other great features:
• View your own photos or those accessible to friends, family, or the public
• Make selections and have them sent to you or a photographer
• Print at over 10,000 locations with LifePics
• Full Flickr Explore support (interestingness, search, Getty, etc.)
• Download albums for offline access
• Download photos to the Photo Library
• Upload photos from the Photo Library
• Built-in camera support: shoot, upload, and caption in one app
• View title and description for any photo or set
• View comments and EXIF data
• Edit titles and captions
• QuickList to quickly access albums, users, and groups
• Slideshow with a choice of timing
• View photos in a grid (with adjustable sizes) or full-screen
• Browse to the Flickr/Facebook/SmugMug page for any photo
• Email links to Flickr sets or SmugMug sharegroups
To speed up displaying, WidePhotoViewer automatically prefetches photos, so in many cases there's no wait for downloading.
Selections sent from WidePhotoViewer can be automatically transferred to Adobe Lightroom (extra cost Lightroom plugin) or to Photo Mechanic.
For more info, go to the App Support site at basepath.com/WidePhotoViewer. You can access the extensive built-in help from there.
(Note that Flickr allows only Pro accounts to download originals, which is what you want for panoramas. Because the photos that WidePhotoViewer is intended to show may be large, it might take as long as several seconds to download each image, especially very wide panoramas.)
(This product uses the Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, LifePics, and Dropbox APIs but is not endorsed or certified by Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, LifePics, nor Dropbox.)
I PROVIDE VERY ATTENTIVE SUPPORT. If you have any difficulties, please email me so I can help resolve the matter. If all you do is post a review, there's no way for me to contact you, and the issue may be a very minor one that's easily fixed.
