Application Description
This app requires the iWavit Premium Product. The iWavit is an iPhone certified Accessory which adds new hardware capabilities to the iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. See www.iwavit.com for more details.
The "iWavit PS3" app turns the iPhone (or iPad or iPod touch) into an RF (and IR) Remote for controlling your Sony Playstation 3.
You will be able to pause, play, skip, rewind your Blu-ray movies from more than 300 ft away. You will also be able to freely navigate the main menu of the PS3 with the virtual D-pad.
This app also doubles as wireless USB keyboard. Now you bring up a virtual keyboard on your iPhone and can enter text without cluttering your living-room with a large USB keyboard.
What about your TV and Home Theater System? You can control those as well. The iWavit includes hardware to be able to act like a Universal IR Learning Remote so you can control almost any IR equipment like TVs or surround sound systems.
SETUP:
Insert the iWavit USB Dongle & IR Lightbar into the Sony Playstation 3. (This is Plug & Play. No WIFI network is needed). Now, plug the iWavit Attachment into your iPhone and you will hear a sound indicating that the iWavit has paired successfully with the iPhone.
You are now ready to control your Sony Playstation 3! The iWavit will communicate wirelessly with the USB dongle up to 300 ft away (100 meters).
In addition to controlling your PS3, this app includes the ability to control any device that has a built-in IR receiver (TV, Home Theater System, etc.). Initially there are no IR codes stored in this app. This means that you can take any Remote Control and "transfer" individual button functions into virtual buttons inside the app. To do this, hold down the "P"-button and tap the button you wish to program. You will be guided through an IR learning process. Once a button has been learned, you never have to redo it.
Another great feature of the iWavit is that the USB Dongle & IR Lightbar can act like a wireless IR extender. Tap the iWavit icon in the lower right of the screen to select whether the IR signals are to be emitted from the iWavit Attachment on the iPhone or from the ~10x stronger IR Lightbar. You can now control your IR Devices from more than 300ft away without having to point.
Finally, there is one more button on the lower left of every screen. This is the HOME button. Pressing the HOME button will take you to the app called iWavit Flow, if it is installed. This app provides a convenient cover-flow way to navigate between iWavit apps.

You can even create macros for embedding multiple functions inside a single button. You can also use the app to control PCs/Macs using USB Keyboard strokes or through the patented DirectPointing air-mouse technology built into the iWavit. You can even take pictures of real remotes and virtualize them by overlaying transparent buttons. This is the ultimate app if you want to create your own remote control masterpiece. And when you do, you can share it online with the rest of the world.
