Bones 1st Aid Videos
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
A series of videos with voice-over describing the correct first aid procedures and techniques to help your child after an accident. These videos focus on how to help your child or infant, should they suffer from different forms of broken bones. Each form of broken bone is described in detail separately. The videos are designed to either refresh your knowledge or to teach.
The subjects covered in this App are:
- Arm
- Collarbone
- Hand
- Leg
- Rib
- Sprain
Since the human body contains 206 individual bones, broken bones, more commonly known as fractures, are all too common, especially in childhood. Fractures will heal at different rates depending upon the age of your child and the type of fracture they have suffered. Your sole aim when administering first aid for suspected broken bones is to immobilize the injury as quickly as possible. Immobilisation helps reduce any movement and in turn significantly reduces the pain associated with any fracture.
These videos have been developed in conjunction with and supported by some of the leading first aid and pediatric specialists from around the world including the world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London and St. John Ambulance UK & Australia.
