CPR Child 1st Aid Videos
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
A series of videos with voice-over describing the correct first aid procedures and techniques to help your child after an accident. These videos focus on how to help your child should they not be breathing or circulating blood adequately. Each step of CPR is described in detail separately. The videos are designed to either refresh your knowledge or to teach.
The subjects covered in this App are:
- Introduction
- Fundamentals of CPR
- A child who is unconscious BUT breathing
- A child who is unconscious and NOT breathing
CPR is a technique of combining rescue breathing (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation) and external heart compression (chest compressions). If your child is not breathing or circulating blood properly around their body, CPR can restore the circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain. Without oxygen, permanent brain damage and even death can occur. So knowing and understanding CPR can help you revive your child if their heart stops or they stop breathing. Simply put it is a fundamental life saving skill.
These videos have been developed in conjunction with and supported by some of the leading first aid and pediatric specialists from around the world including the world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London and St. John Ambulance UK & Australia.
