How to type.
Look for the character and indicate it. If you do not find the character, press the Next for more predicted characters.

For yuktakshars, put the halant/virama shown in red in between the consonants.

These are all according to standard Unicode rules for digital input of Kannada but you have to grow familiar.

Here are few examples.

ಕ್ಲಿಷ್ಟಕರ = ಕ + ್ + ಲ + ಿ + ಷ + ್ + ಟ + ಕ + ರ

Note that was a yuktakshar, so you put a virama/halant in between.

ತ್ರಿಮೂರ್ತಿ = ತ + ್ + ರ + ಿ + ಮ + ೂ + ರ + ್ + ತ + ಿ

Note that the matra (a dependent vowel is always entered after the consonant even though it may be actually occuring on top or after in form). That is merely typography, not orthography.

ವೃದ್ದಾಶ್ರಮ = ವ + ೃ + ದ + ್ + ದ + ಾ + ಶ + ್ + ರ + ಮ

A typical yuktakshar usage.

ಕುರುಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ = ಕ+ ು + ರ + ು + ಕ + ್ + ಷ + ೇ + ತ + ್ + ರ

Did you know, kshya is actually only a yuktakshar, you probably did.

ವ್ಯಗ್ಞಾನಿಕ = ವ+ ್ + ಯ + ಗ + ್ + ಞ + ಾ + ನ + ಿ + ಕ

A gya is a yuktakshar too.
